As the players charged to the field to celebrate Clint Barmes' winning two-run homer that led Colorado to a 12-10 comeback victory Monday, Mohr was injured while jumping out of the Rockies' dugout.
Outfielder Jorge Piedra was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs to replace Mohr on the roster.
"Dustan got hurt when he was celebrating Barmes' home run," Rockies manager Clint Hurdle said. "He jumped out of the dugout and felt something in his calf. It wasn't going to heal in time for the game, so we put him on the DL."
The Rockies also claimed outfielder Michael Restovich on waivers from Tampa Bay. He started the season with Minnesota before the Devil Rays picked him up on waivers on March 31.
Restovich, designated for assignment when Tampa Bay signed Charles Johnson on Monday, will join the Rockies in San Francisco this weekend.
